Preschool is a place of nurturance and growth, a place of endless discoveries and learning. Most of the children who are in our care first come to us when they are two or three years old and stay until kindergarten or through kindergarten. As such, the preschool experience is often times the child’s first knowledge of being away from home or a smaller home-based family care setting. Taking that into consideration, our program is designed to balance between structured or teacher-directed learning and child-directed learning through play and learning centers. As it is our goal at Hope to develop the whole child, we provide children not only academic skills but also social skills to make friends, build motor skills for play and enjoyment of games, self-regulation and problem solving skills to deal with conflicts, a love for learning, and the love of Christ.
